Valentine's Day - Photos and Rants

Valentine's Day...a day of economic bliss. A day where a man does not feel like a pansy for buying flowers. A day with too much chocolate, overly priced food and sappy mushy cards. My biggest complaint with the 'holiday' is: If you love someone - honestly love them with all your heart, why do you need to wait until February 14th to show them? It's not even about the candy, flowers, balloons, teddy bears, cards, cakes, cookies, cupcakes, dinners, candles, music, lingerie or the possible *ahem* sex. I could never understand putting a price tag on love for one day. If you want to buy your honey flowers...it's just as important to her in August as it is now. I don't want to be loved 1 day out of the year. I want you to hold me and tell me you love me, every day, for the rest of our lives together. It doesn't cost a penny...but it means the whole world to me.

With that said, I finished my Valentines project with 40 minutes to spare on the day. ha!

Single Rose

Day 46...Valentine's Day is over for another year...time to move forward. I bought a really awesome Canon photo scanner last week, simply because A) I wanted to and B) I wanted to share my old photos with my friends on Facebook. If you're not my friend on Facebook, you can add me right there. ----->

Anyway...Today's photo is the single rose that my wonderful husband gave me yesterday. We decided that shelter and food was more important than stupid little stuff for V-Day and he surprised me with a beautiful rose. :D You can also tell from the photo just how crazy my computer desk looks at the moment. I have photos everywhere.

Back to work tomorrow...at least I can walk on both legs now :)

Mushy and Gushy

Blogger is trying to confuse me...it's saying I've already posted 39 blogs, but I in fact am on day 39 today. This is very hard to keep up with lol. 

Even though I'm not big on Valentine's day (actually I don't like it at all) I took mushy, gushy photos today. 

And for all you haters like me...just because you don't like this useless day, doesn't mean you can't eat the candy! 

Hope you romantic fools like today's post. It's growing on me. lol.
