Fog Of Life

This blog post was for Wednesday March 30, 2011. As most of March, it rained that day. There was a pretty fog though.

This was on the drive to work. 

Oh the fog of a life.

Rain

Today was day 68 of my blog. It really wasn't a bad day, even if it was my Monday at work. I used to love playing in the rain as a kid. What happened? Why do I run for shelter instead of being spontaneous and enjoying it?

Maybe I'll never know. Maybe that's something that changes with age. At any rate, yes it was a rainy day. I figured I would try my 'night' setting on the P.O.S. camera. I was happily surprised with the results.

Since it was a uneventful day I figured I would share a very old poem of mine about the rain.

I sat in the rain for hours
Hoping I would find a way
Out of your vigorous powers
And make it yet another day

But it's a dream I'll never know
Like a quest never sought through
And all I have to show
Is this rain soaking my soul through

Never could I see
My life without your love
But what will be
Of me without your love?

I sat in the rain for days
The darkness filled my soul
I found so many ways
To leave you, making me whole

Soaked Shoes

Yesterday (Saturday) it rained. I figured after not taking my camera to work all week I could cheat and take some photos of the stuff I see there again. It was a beautiful heavy rain. My shoes were soaked and my hair was wavy...I loved it.

Almost caught up on posts again.

Volatile

Yesterday was day 55. It rained. What else is there to say? It freakin' stormed. I guess it was a fitting background to the day I had. Yesterday was also a poem day. Nothing exciting. Nothing a lot of people would understand (but then again who really understands anything I ramble about?)

Photos first, the backdrop to the day...

Volatile 

My mind is volatile

Full of anger and pain

The longer I hold it down

The hotter it burns

My heart is explosive

With every beat it's smoldering

How much longer can I pretend

That I am in control?

This pain I feel

Is too much to bare

I have to let it out

Or it will destroy every part of me

I'm lost in my mind

In this volatile fire

I cannot tolerate the pain...

Please help me find release.

Better Days

Thank goodness for better days.

It has rained almost all day, but that's ok because it's suppose to change to snow in about 3 hours. I'm off work tomorrow so I should be able to get more interesting photos...I do have some ideas in my old noggin.

Raindrops

Hope everyone is well tonight. It's day 18 and it has rained almost all day...I'm thankful it wasn't snow. I'm liable to poke my eyes out if I see one more snowflake.

I love my photos for today. I've always had a fascination with raindrops and it pleases me I was able to capture them :)

Back to work tomorrow :(
