Wilderness Road

This is last Sunday's blog post. There are over 20 photos to share, thus I will (try to) keep my words short. Thomas and I spent a good chunk of the day at the Wilderness Road State Park in Virginia. You can check out the official site here. We visited the park many times while we were dating (years and years ago) and I was in awe of how much they had progressed with the park since. It really sheds light on the history of our area. If you live close, check it out...well worth the $3 for parking.

Garnet Photography Resurrected

Day 88 Sunday April 3, 2011. 

I spent the day with Thomas. We had an amazing dinner and then he chauffeured me around so I could spy some great places to take photos. For those of you (most of you) that didn't know this about me...I hate horses. They scare the crap out of me! Always have. I am proud to say I was not completely terrified of the horses in these pics. I even pet one of them on my own free will.

I took a total of 140 photos in several different areas around Tennessee. After making the final cut I slimmed it down to 40. I'm only adding a handful here because..well..I don't want to overload.

I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I do. :)

I'm sure you've noticed the "Garnet Photography" watermarked on the photos, this is because a few years ago I started a page for my photography of the time...I used the name "Garnet Photography" so I figured I would keep it going now.

Horse's Ass

Friday was Day 70 of my photographs. I only ended up with 1 decent photo that day...but I know I will have periods like this.

The horses near work come through every time even if it is their ass. :)

This was also the day of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. My thoughts and prayers go out to them...every day it seems like the news is getting bleaker and bleaker. There has to be something I can do to help...

Wow I'm slacking really bad this week. I just realized I'm 3 days behind on posts...eh well. The other two might make it tonight...maybe not...we'll see how I feel later.
